Warning:

"The Other Side of Despair" invites you into a chilling RPG horror experience, where survival isn’t guaranteed, and the truth is as twisted as the creatures lurking in the shadows. This is the demo version, offering an hour of gameplay that teases the immersive darkness ahead in the full game. This first version of the demo does not reflect the final product. Expect many changes as development continues.

This iteration, (0.1.2), was created to explore the game's potential without the use of any plugins. The upcoming version will have a visual style that is more aligned with the final product, featuring enhancements and the elimination of the default texture pack.

Summary:

The story unfolds at Duskwood Secondary College, where a group of young students are transported into a mysterious, shadow-filled realm. Desperate to escape, they must evade deadly creatures, solve puzzles, and discover a harrowing truth that connects the past to their present. As reality, myth, and history collide, the students learn there’s more to this realm than mere survival, there’s a reason they were brought here.

Hey Cool Game, Can't get past the room where you explode the hole as game keeps freezing. A lot of bugs in the room. Moving desks made it freeze. Door damages, girl doesn't. Would've been nice to have a save here, instead of running all the way back every single time.

Hi Xosplay,

Thank you for taking the time to be the first one to review our demo! We appreciate your feedback and are glad you enjoyed the game overall. We uploaded the demo to gather input from players, and we are committed to addressing the errors you mentioned.

The next update will be a minor one, specifically for improving the Boss Battle. (The moving desk bug has already been fixed as I type this.) To clarify one of your issues, because there is a save point in the room before the boss, or you talking about an autosave that will begin right at the beginning of the boss fight?

Your insight is invaluable as we continue to improve the game and we welcome more feedback about your experience. Stay tuned for the next update!

Huh, I had no idea there was a save point there. Though to be fair, there's no player feedback that you should interact with it.

In regards to overlooking things, the safe in the library is obscure to find. The note doesn't have information about it's location, just a hint to the password.

I spent about an hour going through every floor and room looking for the "legs" (I think ) before interacting with every nook and cranny in the library.

Here's another bug that gets you stuck. Going left of this room gets you stuck in the lockers
